In connection with a major renovation and rebuilding of the entire Vestamager center for more than DKK 40 million, the center had a great desire for a sustainable and energy-saving lighting solution. Therefore, they contacted Lumega to get an LED solution that can last for many years in the future.

About Vestamager Centret

Vestamager Centret is located on Ugandavej in Kastrup and houses several shops and grocery stores. The center was renovated a few years ago, where much was replaced including the lighting, which raised the standard considerably.

The lighting system

In collaboration with Vestamager centeret, Lumega developed a tailor-made LED solution and delivered the complete exterior lighting for the entire project. The lighting solution consists of several different types of lighting, both luminaires for walkways around the building and interesting masts with spotlights to illuminate the space in the center of the center. Throughout the project, we have had a strong focus on the lighting design, and Lumega's skilled lighting designer, Ilkei, has developed a unique project.

Due to the new lighting solution, the Vestamager center has experienced many benefits. Compared to the old, traditional lighting, they have saved more than 50% due to LED and also received significantly better lighting with optimized light quality. The center is now beautifully illuminated and the lighting creates a sense of security for people walking in the area.
