Construction

This was a complete conversion of an old industrial property in Valby. The project now features 66 modern retirement homes, common areas, several roof terraces, the largest of which provides a view of large parts of Valby. A beautiful and functional building has clearly been created. Residents and staff alike are greeted by bright and open environments.

Lighting systems

Lumega was responsible for the complete lighting package. Several different lighting concepts were discussed. In the common room near the large roof terrace, the choice fell on the round pendant NS40 - where we used NS11 in many of the corridors. In the homes, the focus has been on general lighting consisting of OS0009 as a recessed luminaire, in addition to the widely used NS50 with up/down light. This line luminaire was mounted on the wall above the bed and it is possible to control the brightness and on/off function for the upward light and the downward light with a push button. This ensures the best light for the staff, but also for the residents, who have the opportunity to read with good lighting. Other lighting concepts such as a very narrow-beam spotlight above the toilets have also been an exciting challenge. The narrow-beam light ensures that residents only focus on the toilet bowl and do not focus elsewhere when using the toilet.

Lumega has also provided special lighting in the basement area. This involves the use of our NS60 lamp with RGBW function. This allows you to control between several different types of colors and brightness levels. This project was launched solely to use the light to work with the residents in a positive way.
