The project
Uno X wanted to change their current lighting at several gas stations. They emphasized that it is important that their gas stations are inviting and well-lit, as a dark gas station can lead to customer loss. Uno X also wanted a future-proof and energy-saving solution.
The lighting system
Uno X got the ideal solution from Lumega, replacing 2,500 luminaires with LED luminaires. As Uno X emphasized, it is important that the lighting at gas stations is inviting, as dim lighting can lead to customer loss, as customers want well-lit gas stations. The new LED gas station lighting ensures an inviting and well-lit gas station. As petrol stations use large amounts of power for lighting under the canopy, the new LED lighting solutions will more than halve the power consumption. In addition to the good light, LED luminaires at gas stations ensure high energy savings compared to the previous solution. This high saving gives Uno X a payback time of only 3 years.
In connection with the new solution, Uno X tested eight different luminaire solutions to find the LED solution that best matched their needs. After several tests, the Lumega luminaire was chosen as the framework agreement for all Uno X gas stations. Since Uno X gas stations now have LED lighting, the new light sources do not need to be replaced until 15 years after installation, whereas the old light sources had to be replaced once a year. This saves Uno X a lot of maintenance costs, as a lift is needed every time the lights need to be changed.
