The lighting system
The ideal solution for Radisson Blu Scandinavia Hotel was to replace a total of 1500 light sources with new LED lighting, consisting of LED spots, LED strips and LED recessed spots. As the hotel has lights on all hours of the day and night, it was important to find a solution that could provide significant energy savings. With an LED solution like the one now installed at the hotel, Radisson Blu can look forward to an energy saving of 85%, and the long operating time results in a short payback time of only about 3 months. In addition, Radisson Blu wanted the same warm white color that the previous halogen bulb lighting provided. A request that the hotel had problems with before they got in touch with Lumega. Lumega sells many different LED solutions that provide the desired warm white light, and therefore it was no problem to meet the hotel's requirements.
As mentioned above, the hotel wanted to reduce power consumption in connection with the cooling of light sources. The new LED hotel lighting saves the hotel large amounts of power for cooling, as the LED solution from Lumega generates ¼ less heat than previous solutions. This also provides a better indoor climate in the hotel.
In addition to great energy savings, beautiful light and reduced cooling consumption, the hotel can look forward to an LED solution with extremely improved durability. The new LED light sources only need to be replaced 8 years after installation, whereas the old halogen light sources had to be replaced 3 times a year.
