About Maanesten
The stores have a very specific look and feel. The look that focuses on the target group for the jewelry. It's no coincidence that Maanesten is experiencing such significant growth. They are opening more stores every month and the next market will be the US. Not only do they produce unique jewelry for carefully selected target groups, but they also understand the whole expression behind their identity. Colors, design language, interior design and lighting go hand in hand. There are essential benefits to their design expression. The interior design is an exciting story in itself, but if we take a closer look at the lighting, this is a story we at Lumega can shed more light on.
Thoughts on LED lighting to increase revenue
Lighting has long been an essential part of a store's appearance to customers. After the metal halide lamp was swept aside, LED lighting entered the market. Since then it's gone from strength to strength and with the latest developments, it's proven that sales can be significantly increased by using the right LED lighting. The lighting at Maanesten is carefully selected for jewelry lighting. A color spectrum is used that makes the jewelry sparkle even more than with the previous lighting. The LED lighting manages to make the product appear more exclusive, which was the goal in this case. In addition to the correct LED, work was done on the angle of dispersion of the luminaire. This again ensures the light level is as desired and the evenness is ideal. The color of the light also has a lot to say. Here at Maanesten we have chosen 3000K with a very high color rendering. This combination is not most commonly known for retail lighting. Here, 3500K - 4000K is more often seen, which is a more neutral white. With the warmer color, Maanesten achieves a lighting system that not only accommodates the glitter effect in the jewelry, but also a beautiful rendering of all interiors including furniture, colors on the walls and decorations. It is the whole that is created. The lighting is discreet in the form of a recessed downlight combined with efficient track spots in the windows.
The lighting system
The NS26 downlight is recessed in the ceiling and is available with different light intensities. Different types of LED chips can be used in the luminaire. Lumega has chosen the LED chip that best suits this concept. The spotlight is supplemented with a track spot of type NS72. The track spot is also supplied with an LED chip that meets the overall concept in the stores. Finally, Lumega supplied the rails that are mounted in the windows. The NS72 is clicked into the rails and can thus be moved according to the display. Lumega is currently in talks to automate the entire lighting system so that it can be controlled via an app. At the same time, scenarios can be set so that the light turns on and off during certain periods. This flexibility provides comfort, but most importantly, the control modules can benefit the green profile as power consumption will be reduced. The system can easily be added to existing lighting systems and benefits all shops and restaurants.
Lumega and shop lighting
Years of experience with LED shop lighting makes the difference. Lumega has its own project department in Vesterbro, Copenhagen. The department includes two professional lighting designers specializing in shop lighting. This means we always design with the target group in focus. We often work directly with the store owner, but also in close dialog with interior designers or architects to find the right solution.
You can either choose a package solution with lighting that makes your products stand out or lighting that directly stages the products in the most exclusive way.
Lumega works with a cooler light that has an extra good color rendering. This ensures that the products appear more lifelike, which significantly increases sales. With a good interior design, we create a flow in the store where the lighting takes the customer on a journey. The experience of the store forms the whole and with good service, sales will steadily increase.
Shop lighting in general
The most important piece of a store's existence is not just its product or service. Interior design and lighting are, if not on the same level, in many cases more important. The branding of the business and its visual expression must be in line with trends and functionality.
Today, we see many stores that are not surviving because buyers have moved more and more to online shops over the years. The physical store is predicted by many to be finished within a decade, but it doesn't have to be that way. At Lumega, we believe that the visual presence and physical contact with customers can contribute to a positive business. The business that is hard to replicate on the internet. With the right lighting, you can create lighting concepts that ensure exclusivity or store lighting with the sole purpose of significantly increasing sales. Whatever your retail lighting needs, there are many solutions.
