Jens Nielsen's Farm
Rødovre is home to this new attractive residential area. The Jens Nielsens Gård project has local rainwater drainage and cloudburst protection. In addition, special attention has been paid to the courtyard. Beautiful planting, outdoor spaces with furniture and lighting harmonize with the dark building bricks. The architectural firm Edvars & Edvars has managed to create a fantastic harmony across all 4,000 m2 of the building.

About Construction
Jens Nielsens Gård is a block of flats in Rødovre. There are 133 homes with a total gross area of 14,286 m2. The courtyard garden has been taken to the next step with a beautiful paving that harmonizes with bricks, lighting and other outdoor furniture. The project will be handed over in 2022 and occupancy has already taken place.

The lighting system
Lumega has been the turnkey supplier on the project. The exterior lighting environment was designed and planned in close collaboration with Make-Net. The collaboration has resulted in an outdoor lighting system that is rarely seen in such fine harmony with buildings and other exterior fixtures.
All exterior lighting was produced in a unique reddish RAL color. The RAL color was chosen in close dialogue with the architectural firm Edvars & Edvars. With special masts fitted with NS98 spots, planting spots, bollards that harmonize the cylindrical shape of the mast and floating waterproof cylindrical downlights hanging over an outdoor area, Lumega and the team have created an attractive courtyard environment.
Indoor lighting consists of circular wall luminaires that communicate wirelessly with each other. This ensures significantly lower electricity consumption because the lights dim down completely when there is no movement in the hallways. As soon as motion is detected, all lighting fixtures will raise the light level to 100%. With this method of control, energy consumption can be reduced by a minimum of 60% compared to traditional control methods.
Special designs
Customized solutions have always been more exciting for Lumega. We have the right connections to subcontractors who can help with all kinds of RAL colors. And when it comes to aluminum machining and special solutions for that, there is access to factories with very high precision work.
