About Ditur

Ditur was founded by Mikkel and Kasper Dissing. The company is perhaps best known for their participation in the TV show Løvens hule. Here they received an investment from Jesper Buch and Jacob Risgaard. The company has hit a niche with online sales of mid-range watches. Ditur is growing rapidly and now operates throughout Scandinavia. This also means that they outgrew their old premises. To accommodate the new employees, the two twin brothers decided to build a new 5,000m2 headquarters in Hasselager, Denmark. The domicile can safely be described as extremely unique.

Project design

From the outset, it has been a necessity to incorporate employees into the spaces designed in the building. It had to be modern and at the same time focus on the dynamics of the spaces. It is clear to see that the offices are characterized by beautiful materials with good functionality. The offices are open and separated by shelving in some places. Lounge areas and paddle courts provide the framework for a high level of employee well-being.

Built as a turnkey project

IBG Erhvervsbyg has been the turnkey contractor on the project. They developed the project in close collaboration with GPP Arkitekter A/S and Niras A/S. The electrical contract was carried out by el:con. Even though the building was constructed in a time with long delivery times for building materials, IBG Erhvervsbyg managed to deliver the building on schedule. The turnkey contract was entered into directly with the client Ditur.dk ApS.

Interior design

When you enter the building, it's clear that interior designers have been on the job. Ambiente, who are best known for designing exhibition stands, were responsible for the complete interior design plan. They managed to create a common thread throughout the entire building. With beautiful office furniture, lounge areas, the large gathering point in the canteen and even paddle courts.

The lighting system comes into its own

As in many other parts of the building, the lighting also needed to stand out from the traditional. Lumega worked closely with Ambiente, el:con, and the general contractor to design the entire lighting system. Lumega was tasked with ensuring that design and functionality came together. In other words, we had to keep a focus on lighting fixtures in a beautiful design language, but at the same time, the lighting project had to comply with lighting standards. It may sound simple, but it is often the case that lighting fixtures where design comes first cannot technically meet European lighting standards. In this case, it was Lumega's job to design the lighting system to meet these lighting standards,

The lighting design and lighting fixtures

When the car is parked in the parking lot and the direction is towards the entrance of the building, the lighting is clearly visible. The lighting is not standard lighting. This is carefully selected lighting that creates a modern expression in synergy with the interior design. The entrance area is equipped with LED neon Flex to mark a continuous line throughout the overhang. It is RGB and the light color can be changed between many different shades. The change of light color goes directly into the domicile, where the toilets have had an aluminum profile filled into the wall. There is thus a continuous line of light in the wall of each toilet, which forms the basis for shade variation depending on the nature of the event.

The entrance area and other special areas have also had the iconic NS41 installed. The large light rings are directly in synergy with a clock face and therefore, in addition to the track spots, became the focal point of the lighting design in the entrance area.

In offices, the focus has been on linear luminaires. Here they are suspended on wire and ordered in a continuous line so there are no dark areas. The NS50 was chosen in a black RAL color to match the furniture. In all corridors and especially in the meeting rooms, entrance area and canteen, track spots have been used. These track spots have different beam angles to create the perfect lighting design.

The high-bay warehouse is home to thousands of shipments. Therefore, lighting was also important in this area. The NS49, known for its high lumen package, is suspended and delivers a lot of light, but with a low UGR, so that the employees, especially in the picking warehouse, have a comfortable working environment.

Energy crisis predicted on the horizon

Lighting accounts for approximately 20% of the total energy consumption in a building that could house office environments. If the right LED lighting with high energy efficiency and intelligent lighting control is implemented, the total energy consumption of lighting in the building could be reduced to between 7 to 14%. With rising electricity prices and the predicted energy crisis looming, LED lighting with high energy efficiency will become more widespread than ever before. The basis for implementing LED lighting with an intelligent lighting control system will contribute to low energy consumption of the lighting in the building.

The Ditur project is a great example of very low energy consumption, but the lighting helps to create the framework for the exclusive branding of the company. Thus, there is a direct link between energy efficiency, lighting standards, working environment, branding value and less maintenance.

Complete energy-efficient lighting design for buildings

With the latest lighting requirements, lighting has become more complex than ever before. This also means that especially offices and places where workplaces require extended periods of sitting will require lighting specialists who understand how to meet the requirements. In addition to the technical lighting requirements that must be met in new buildings and renovation projects, there are now a number of other issues to consider. In particular, the energy framework and the energy-saving aspect of the products used in construction is a factor that must be taken into account.
