CBS SIH

The former police station on Howitzvej has been in project phase 2017-2021. The building is listed, which made the renovation extra challenging in some areas. Copenhagen Business School and SIH currently use the building for several purposes, such as a lecture and course center. Hence the name Student Innovation House.

Student Innovation House. That was the starting point. There needed to be larger spaces where medium-sized meetings could be held and innovation could flow together. The building is old and has an interesting history. The entire building is listed and was most recently used as a police station.

The CBS SIH project is a unique project, where BERTELSEN & SCHEVING ARKITEKTER in particular ensured that the renovation could be carried out with respect for the old architecture - but at the same time with sensitivity to the new users of the building.

Lighting systems

Considering the building, lighting was an important part of creating the right atmosphere. Lumega is the main supplier on the project and has, together with SIF Gruppen, taken care of the implementation of the more unconventional lighting solutions. Here, several different types of pendants with unique expressions, LED spots for the larger conversation rooms, as well as large round wall lights to highlight the staircase's beautiful, well-kept woodwork. Lumega has paid special attention to extra good light quality on this project. It was essential that the older preserved building artworks could appear as lifelike as possible.
