By & Havn's parking garages
Since 2018, Lumega has been the permanent lighting supplier for By & Havn's many parking garages. This has resulted in an impressive 12 parking garages, where a small handful of these are the largest parking garages in Denmark. During the period, more than 10,000 luminaires have been delivered with only 2 defects, which is why By & Havn is happy with the collaboration.

Parking garages and more cars
Over the past few years, hundreds of new buildings have sprung up in Ørestad. In addition, the Royal Arena opened in 2017, and all of this has created huge parking needs in the Copenhagen district. Many parking garages had to be built. In addition, we have seen high demand in other urban development areas, such as Nordhavn. Here, several very modern and sustainable parking garages have been built.
The lighting system
The solution at By & Havn is our NS57 luminaire, which meets all the requirements for a modern parking garage. NS57 is a linear LED luminaire specifically designed for parking garages. Due to a plug and play system, the luminaires can be easily installed and then connected together. NS57 also comes with a sensor that dims the lighting when there is no activity. In the Ejler Bille parking garage, the lighting is dimmed to 50%, but this can be adjusted as desired. In addition, the luminaire has a life expectancy of around 60,000 hours, which means that NS57 can save up to 70% on electricity bills compared to traditional fluorescent tubes. For this parking garage, the payback time is therefore just one year compared to traditional fluorescent tubes.
In addition to an energy-efficient LED luminaire, By & Havn wanted a robust product. A parking garage is one of the most exposed environments a luminaire can be exposed to, so a luminaire with a high IK rating was needed. NS57 has IK07, which means the luminaire is impact resistant.

Our lighting adds security to any parking garage and with the latest intelligent controls, we can retrieve data on how many cars pass through the parking facility in a day. This data is highly cost-effective. Our intelligent control can either be run with an app or controlled by computer using IoT.
Lumega offers from 2024 onwards our parking garages come with a good light quality. For all parking garages, if desired, we can offer a color rendering that is usually only seen at the hairdresser. We offer this good light quality without compromising on energy efficiency. In new buildings, Lumega can also help you score as many points as possible - from a sustainability perspective.
Energy renovation of lighting
Many parking garages are in need of replacing their lighting from fluorescent tubes to modern LED lighting. Contact Lumega directly and get an overview and price indication. We recommend that a 15-minute team or telephone meeting is initially arranged to align expectations. From there, an inspection is carried out, which can be done anywhere in Europe. The inspection is done in consultation with a trained energy technologist.
