When Embankment A/S moved into their new offices on Christian IX Gade in Copenhagen, they wanted a lighting solution that could match the building's exclusive setting. Lumega was chosen to design, plan and deliver the complete lighting package - a project that shows how light can lift both architecture and atmosphere in a modern workplace.

Brass details and exclusive design

At the heart of the design is our NS41 luminaire, chosen with both downlight and uplight. The luminaire is produced in brass, so it interacts directly with the building's other brass details such as door handles and other interiors. The light creates a visual rhythm and a refined expression that immediately signals quality and attention to detail. With CRI90 and a warm color temperature of 3000K, excellent color rendering and a comfortable lighting environment are ensured.

The NS41 can be manufactured in diameters from 60 cm to 5 meters, making it one of the most flexible solutions on the market for exclusive projects.

Smart control and energy efficiency

Functionality has been as important as aesthetics. The entire installation is based on Casambi - a wireless smart lighting solution. Here, employees can control light via scenarios, automatic schedules and wireless wall switches or directly from an app. For example, cleaning staff can work in full light in the evening when a fixed scenario is activated and then everything is automatically switched off.

In addition, daylight and motion sensors are integrated to save energy by dimming the lights when there is sufficient daylight and turning them off when the rooms are empty. The result is a solution that is both beautiful and highly energy efficient.

Tailor-made light for each area

Different areas required individual solutions. In the corridors, NS10 downlights are used in pairs, creating a special lighting expression. In the kitchen areas, NS60 panel luminaires are installed, matching Ecophon ceilings perfectly and giving a uniform result.
