About Cityhub

The CityHub hotel has opened at the old Westmarket located in Vesterbro. The project is innovative in the sense that the rooms were prefabricated and installed in a renovated large room. This optimizes a lot of processes and keeps clear concept lines in terms of design and functionality.

Lumega was the main supplier on the project, and we are proud to be part of creating an innovative lighting solution.

Lighting solution

CityHub is a high-tech hotel that is popular because of the way they incorporate the experience economy as a big part of the hotel experience. When you visit the hotel, check-in is automatic and you will be given a wristband that can be used at the bar, for example. Once the wristband itself is registered by a controller, you can help yourself to food and drinks via self-service.

The solution included a Black Line System, which can be seen in corridors and reception areas. It is an innovative linear system that is a perfect combination of tracks and luminaires. It makes the solution appear elegant and helps to maximize lighting creativity. In the restroom areas, the hotel chose to install a similar system in combination with our NS11 downlights. They have a high color rendering that provides a high quality of light for the benefit of the guests.

The hub itself consists of built-in speakers and controllable lighting in the form of LED strips that change color and change according to your mood. This is done directly via the hotel's proprietary app.
