Sports lighting for all sports

High-quality LED sports lighting is essential for creating a great experience in all types of sports.

LED lighting has become the only real lighting for sports facilities. No matter the type of sports facility, whether it's the local ball field or a large stadium, lighting is an important piece that can impact the experience.

With Lumega's stadium lighting, you will get customized solutions for the benefit of athletes, spectators and owners. You will receive a lighting installation that is sustainable, energy efficient and meets your requirements and needs. Arenas can experience energy savings of 60-70%, lower operating costs and a much better light that provides outstanding stadium lighting for any sporting event.

Sports lighting from Lumega

Lighting fixtures for ice rinks must be extremely durable. A grid is installed on the front of each luminaire, which ensures that even if a puck hits at several hundred kilometers per hour, the luminaire can withstand it. In addition, the luminaire is IK10, which ensures that the luminaire construction itself can withstand an incredibly high load, which means that our luminaires are ideal for sports halls.

In addition to high energy savings of over 60% and long lifespans, Lumega offers wireless communication between luminaires as a unique solution. This means staff will be able to receive a wireless tap or tablet with pre-programmed light scenes. The scenes could typically be to switch between 300, 500, 750 and 1200 lux, depending on preference and need. For example, 300 lux is enough when the public is using the ice, 500 lux is used for training matches, 750 lux for elite matches and 1200 lux for TV broadcasts according to the latest European standards.

Lumega has built up a wealth of knowledge in stadium lighting design. Our experience is based on many years of delivery experience and training courses at home and abroad in the latest knowledge of European requirements and lighting programming.

Stadium lighting should always be designed by a professional lighting designer. Replacement as 1:1 should only be done after the new system has been designed. This avoids neighbor complaints and unnecessary light pollution.

In addition to light quality and energy savings, we make sure to calculate the wind resistance of the pole to make sure the new LED lighting fixtures can be installed safely without falling down in a storm.

We have delivered complete lighting systems for small sports clubs with 4 masts to large football stadiums with 40 meter masts and 1400 lux levels on the pitch. We operate throughout Denmark, so we are ready at eye level with a complete solution including installation if desired.

Sports hall lighting

Many sports halls still have fluorescent tubes installed. These are due for replacement within the next few years. Be aware that lighting for sports halls is more extensive than 1:1 installation. As in the above segments, there is also a requirement for the sports luminaire to meet the latest standards.

The luminaires are extra resistant to ball throwing. Our sports hall luminaires are tested according to VDE 0710-13. This means the luminaire can withstand 36 shots from a 187 mm diameter handball at three different angles. In addition, we ensure compliance with DS/EN 12193 so your new lighting system meets the latest requirements.

The consultancy still exists, but if you've been unlucky with a lighting supplier, we offer a free 15-30 minute team meeting where you can get a general overview. Unfortunately, we don't get involved in specific cases anymore and will never badmouth our competitors. Therefore, you will meet an impartial concrete behavior.

  • It is clearly an advantage if there are more than 50 lighting fixtures. Remember, the higher the energy savings, the more electricity (kWh) is saved. Lumega will find the amount of electricity savings in the reports performed. Then we can help you apply for the grant. The amount varies, but the subsidy is typically between 20-35 øre / kWh. It can therefore be a very good business case to consider energy subsidies before installing LED lighting.
