Lumega wins the contract for The Kitchen 2.0

Lumega has secured the contract to supply the lighting for the new and distinctive innovation building The Kitchen 2.0 in the University City of Aarhus - a project designed by AART and built by Vognsen & Co. The building will be a central gathering point for entrepreneurs, researchers and students and will promote collaboration and development between business and education.

The project places high demands on both functionality and aesthetics, and therefore, from the start, emphasis has been placed on integrating lighting that supports both the working environment and the architecture. Lumega has delivered a wide range of lighting solutions - all with a focus on high performance, sustainability and visual expression.

In the project, we have delivered, among other things:

  • NS50 Line luminaires in black pendant design - created to provide even and comfortable light over workstations and open areas

  • NS47 Downlights in black as a surface-mounted solution - discreet yet efficient, with low glare

  • NS43 and NS59 for common areas - solid and aesthetically adapted luminaires

  • NS63 Kitchen faucets - IP rated solutions for areas with high hygiene requirements

One of the key points in the delivery has been a focus on good light quality. Therefore, the majority of the luminaires are delivered with CRI90 to ensure optimal color rendering - important in both creative and functional environments.

In terms of control, the solutions are built around DALI-2 DT6, ensuring precise and reliable light control in all zones. This makes the system easy to integrate into modern building management and ready for future requirements. All drivers are also delivered with significantly lower flicker than European requirements, ensuring a pleasant lighting environment.

We are proud to have been chosen as the lighting supplier for this iconic building and look forward to the lighting in The Kitchen 2.0 becoming an important part of the innovative framework for future entrepreneurship in Aarhus.
