ZigZag House Aarhus

Complete lighting solution for 126 homes and businesses at Godsbanen.

ZigZag Huset in Aarhus is a striking residential building with 126 centrally located homes at Godsbanen. The project was built in collaboration with Høgh & Rousing Invest A/S, designed by E+N Arkitekter, and with Artelia as consulting engineer.

With its attractive location in downtown Aarhus, ZigZag Huset is close to the Scandinavian Center, the raw hall of Godsbanen, the Concert Hall, City Hall, and City Hall Park. The project combines modern architecture, green courtyards, and an active ground floor with businesses.

Architecture and functionality in harmony

ZigZag Huset consists of 126 residential units and eight commercial premises on the ground floor, including two cafés and six offices. The total area is 11,808 m², of which 920 m² is dedicated to commercial use.

The building has seven staggered towers, creating its characteristic zigzag shape. Green courtyards with recreational areas are located between the buildings, and there are both private and shared roof terraces. Bicycle parking and storage rooms are located on the ground floor, and the apartments facing Sonnesgade are raised to ensure privacy.
